As good as it gets. We sold an elderly relative’s property through Hamptons in Harpenden whilst the market was depressed due to rising interest rates etc. We invited four agents to the property and took no time to choose Hamptons on the basis of the professionalism and business-like manner we noticed at the initial meeting. The brochure was prepared quickly with particularly excellent photographs and the active marketing began soon after. It continued for several months - not unusual at the time - but throughout the communication from Hamptons was exemplary and at all times senior staff were readily available by email and phone. Once an offer was received a dedicated ‘Sales Progressor’ came into play. She maintained regular contact with all parties and undoubtedly helped the process to run smoothly, keeping us informed continuously. In Harpenden there is a lot of competition in terms of estate agents, including from the biggest national firms, but Hamptons provides a premium service at the same cost as the others. Strongly recommended.

Our experience with Hamptons was excellent from start to finish when we sold our home. The team were always friendly and reliable at all times. The after sales support was faultless. A particular thanks to Janine who went over and above to keep all parties informed. In the latter stages of the sale process when anxiety creeps in, this was invaluable and greatly appreciated.

Having just concluded our purchase of a property through Hamptons please note my open and honest views... The sales function was handled by Fiona Hill who was utterly outstanding from beginning to end, truly (6* for her!). When we had an issue, Richard Goss stepped in to give some fabulous advice despite it seemingly going against his short-term business interest, thanks. However, and despite the very best efforts of Janine, the sale got almost interminably delayed due to the lack of close management of the vendor(s). This cost us considerable (wasted) time, the collapse of our sales and hence thousands of pounds as we had to distress sell to keep the chain intact. And considerable emotional stress. The vendor issues could, and should, have been dealt with much earlier and much more professionally by Hamptons as they were the agent of the vendor, obviously. Despite all that we are, ultimately, incredibly happy with our purchase so a final big 'thanks' to Fiona for application and dedication above and beyond the call of duty!
