Branch History
The St Albans branch has been at it present location since 2007 and continues to grow its market share both in the city centre and surrounding towns and villages. Located at a prominent junction in a listed building formerly used as a bank, the office is readily accessible for our clients, customers and contractors alike.

Getting Here
We’re located at 2, High Street, opposite Cote Brasserie and at the end of Chequer Street. If coming by car, the closest on-street parking is located on London Road (Pay & Display), although a larger car park is available at Christopher Place which is accessed via Spencer Street. By Train, St Albans City Station (with direct links from London St Pancras - 20 minutes) is under a mile from the branch. Alternatively St Albans Abbey Station (the Abbey Flyer from Watford Junction – 10 minutes) is only half a mile away.
Parking
On Street Pay & Display parking is approximately 125 metres away on the London Road, or you can obtain Parking Vouchers from some newsagents and the Tourist Information Office in the Town Hall on Chequer Street, which enable you to park on many other streets in the city centre. Alternatively there are multi-storey car parks close to the shopping areas at The Maltings, Christopher Place and behind Marks and Spencer on Drovers Way.

The Area
St Albans is an ancient Roman city once known as Verulamium. It boasts the remains of a Roman theatre, hypocaust and wall and the stunning Abbey Church and Cathedral which is famous not only for the first Christian Martyr Saint Alban likely to have been buried here, but also for the site of the initial discussions which led to the drafting of the Magna Carta in the thirteenth century. Verulamium Park offers over one hundred acres of parkland, lakes and leisure space which adjoins Westminster Lodge leisure centre and a nine kilometre Green Ring dedicated to pedestrians and cyclists to escape the bustling city. St Albans is home to a bi-weekly market and a monthly farmer’s market, numerous festivals throughout the year including CAMRA the Campaign for Real Ale beer festival in September, museums and theatres, various sports clubs and the recently refurbished Art Deco Odyssey Cinema all in the heart of the city. Schooling is excellent both in the state and independent sector alike and the architecture of private homes and public buildings include representations from Medieval, Elizabethan, Victorian and Georgian periods, along with redeveloped 1960s Modernist apartments, and a variety of contemporary new-build homes.
Transport links include the fast train into and out of St Pancras International station, and northbound to Luton Airport and beyond. The motorway network is within easy reach, allowing the driver to reach the M1 and M25 in just a few minutes and making St Albans an accessible city both to travel to and from.
Property Available
St Albans City and District harbours a diverse range of property including, but not limited to, contemporary apartments and picturesque cottages in the city centre, tasteful conversions of heritage sites, preserved listed buildings, well-planned suburban estates and fine country houses. St Albans is a huge favourite with commuters and it's not hard to see why.

Testimonials
“Nadya and Laura, we just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you both (and the rest of your team) for the amazing effort and time you have spent trying to get the flat let. Considering the size, probably not the easiest of tasks! I've really appreciated the excellent communication flow and constant updates received over the last month - I've never felt out of the loop at any point. I've really been impressed with the level of service and advice you've offered us since minute 1 - I will be highly recommending you to anyone who cares to listen! As an aside, we have another property which is up for renewal in 2016 and we would really like to hand it over to you guys to let/manage when the time comes.”
“I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you both for getting us into Normandy Road so quickly, you both handheld us during a very stressful time and without your support I would now be camped out in a cardboard box. We were both so very impressed by your professionalism and friendliness, we look forward to working with you again in the future.”
“We just wanted to write a note to say a big thank you for all your help and efforts with No. 15. It proved to be a tricky one, but you got there so huge congrats for persevering with it/us. We are packing and moving today and over the weekend, and are looking forward to moving into our new home knowing our old one is in good hands.”
“I have been searching for a property for many weeks now, I decided to send out a mass email to all agents within my desired area, (over 300 in total.) Having spent many years working for Rightmove, I am aware of what kind of response to receive to this type of contact, (not a successful response!) I just wanted to say that, of all of the emails that I sent out, Susan was the only recipient to bother sending a personal response. Her response showed understanding of my dilemma with my property search and conveyed instant empathy. I am not sure if you do any staff awards within your company, but I think her promptness and personal touch certainly should be noted.”
“I have been dealing with Nadya in the Hamptons St Albans office for over 6 years now and during this time I have always found her and her team helpful and courteous to deal with and always willing to go that bit further to make everything work perfectly and smoothly. She exhibits a professionalism and proficiency that is all too rare in today's world and is always a pleasure to deal with.”
“Just a short note to thank you once again for the truly professional service that you provided. Having completed on the property the week leading up to Christmas, my expectations of securing a tenant so quickly were somewhat limited. The fact that you managed not only to find a tenant two days after I first contacted you and then to have contracts signed within a week, massively exceeded any of my expectations. I will have absolutely no hesitation in recommending not only you but Hamptons for what has been a seamless and professional experience. Well done and many thanks.”
“David, again thank you for doing an excellent job managing the property for me while I have been abroad. As a result of the service that you have provided, I would not hesitate recommending Hamptons to others and I may use Hamptons management service again in the future.”
“It’s not very often that I am moved to put pen to paper (or write an email) of this type but in Susan Jameson’s case it is justified. Can I just say that in Susan you have a totally professional negotiator. One who is pleasant, knowledgeable, communicative and someone who is prepared to see the whole picture whilst representing both your client and prospective tenant. This in my view is rarely found in an individual and I wanted you to know that in Susan, Hamptons have a first class individual.
Please feel free to let her know that we as a family really appreciated her help.”
“It has been a great relief to have David Whiting and the Hamptons team manage my property while I have been living abroad. They have been proactive, calm and efficient, especially through stressful periods when repairs were needed to the property - any issues that arose were handled with great skill. David has dealt extremely professionally with other stakeholders in the property and it has been incredibly reassuring to know that him and his team are managing my property. Communications have been fast and efficient - I have felt strongly that David has been easy to reach throughout the letting. Hamptons have been proactive with smaller issues and a huge support during bigger ones. I would recommend their property management service unreservedly.”
“Laura, can I just say, that you have been the most helpful letting agent I have spoken to during our (long!) search - and I have been in contact with pretty much every letting agent in St Albans! If only they could all be as helpful and responsive as you!”
