Stratford-upon-Avon is an ancient market town founded by the Saxons in the Middle Ages, later made famous as the birthplace of William Shakespeare on 23rd April 1564.
The town and surrounding villages of South Warwickshire have their distinctive vernacular architecture that clearly defines the development of the area through the ages.
Stratford is a cultural place with excellent amenities. There are a great many quality restaurants, public houses and dining pubs, not to mention the iconic RSC in its picturesque riverside location, all within walking distance.
