Client testimonials - Mike & Margaret Hodges

At the beginning of Covid, Mike and Margaret were living in Somerset but Covid highlighted how far they were away from their family so they decided to move closer and stumbled upon Warley HQ. They loved the development and the feeling of community along with all the amazing amenities within the development.

> Occupation:

> How long were you looking for a property before you decided on Warley HQ as a development

At the beginning of Covid we were living in Somerset but our children lived in Brentford and Sussex and we weren’t  able to see them so we decided to move closer to our family

> Were you specifically looking to buy a new build?

No not specifically but we didn’t particularly want a period property which might need work on it or a lot of maintenance.

> What made you decide to purchase the property?

We literally stumbled upon it – we used to drive past on our way to see our son and daughter in law and then we saw it on Rightmove . But it was quite challenging getting our heads around moving from a 4 bedroom detached house into a 2 bed flat for the same price due to the difference in house prices in Somerset and London.

> When did you move in?

24th Nov 2021

> What type of flat did you buy? Ie. two bedroom, two bathroom, plus amenities i.e. balcony etc.

2 bed 2 bath no balcony

> Did you use HTB or any incentives? Give details.

> Tell me a bit about your buying process ie. did you see the listing on Rightmove or Zoopla or was the development advertised somewhere that piqued your interest? Or were you registered with Hamptons first?

We passed by it and then rang to register our interest with Hamptons but no we were not registered with Hamptons first

> Why {area} ultimately? Ie why do you like the area? Is the commute easy for work etc?

Closer to family

> What was it Warley HQ that you liked opposed to other schemes?

We loved the development and the feeling of community – it’s like a little village, all age groups young families and retirees like ourselves, there is a lovely café serving hot foot, a gym (which hasn’t opened yet but will be lovely) and there will be secure underground parking which was something we also wanted.  It’s some of the smaller things that were also important like a snooker table in the resident’s area, there is also a cinema room and meeting rooms you can hire and office space to work from. We are also looking forward to the landscaped residents' garden with its completed BBQ.

We saw a couple of flats initially that were not quite right for us but Katie in the sales team persuaded us to come back and look at others and we found this one which suited us perfectly.  There are 330 flats and we were about the 4th people to move in – we knew the development still had work to be done and that it would take time – we haven’t stopped having people over so all in all we are very happy here
