The nearby villages of Bryants Bottom, Speen and Great Hampden offer a selection of pubs and there are numerous public footpaths in the area.

Highly regarded grammar schools in High Wycombe include The Royal Grammar School for boys and The High School for girls whilst private education is provided by Wycombe Abbey (girls), Stowe School (mixed) and nearby Pipers Corner (girls) in Great Kingshill.
