Situation

Ardington itself is a picturesque estate village, which has a village shop and tea room, childrens play area, a local public house, church and is perfectly located for long walks. Further afield, the famous spires and colleges of Oxford are just 30 minute drive and the market towns of Hungerford, Newbury and Abingdon are all within half an hour's drive. Our own market town of Wantage, famed for its statue of King Alfred the Great who was born there in 849, is just 5 minutes away by car and offers both a Waitrose and a Sainsburys for grocery shopping.

The House is often used as a base for house parties attending nearby sporting and cultural events, such as the Cheltenham Racing and Book Festivals, Hennessy Gold Cup, Henley Regatta, Silverstone Grand Prix and Royal Ascot.
