Why move to West Hampstead?
The area has much to offer with plenty of local amenities, charming period properties, great schools and abundant green spaces.
Architecture and property
West and South Hampstead are primarily made up of high value Victorian and Edwardian houses, while nearby Kilburn and Cricklewood boast a mix of period conversions and new build developments.
Notable buildings in the area include Hampstead Synagogue and Emmanuel Church, both striking grade II listed red brick buildings dating from the turn of the century.
Going out
There is a Vue multiplex cinema at the 02 centre on the Finchley Road for all the latest blockbusters, as well as several fitness centres locally.
Green space
West Hampstead has a number of lovely parks, gardens and recreation grounds, but for a taste of the country within the city, residents can make the short trip to Primrose Hill, which has some of the best panoramic views of the London skyline taking in St Paul’s Cathedral, the Shard and the neighbouring Regent’s Park. The vast 790-acre Hampstead Heath is a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation and encompasses ancient woodland, meadows, open-air swimming ponds for a bracing dip and a range of family friendly facilities.
