Leading estate agent Hamptons International has announced it will be hosting a property seminar at Barclays Global HQ. The event, known as Property View will share exclusive research of the market ten years on from the Lehman Brother collapse, and will provide an outlook on the future of the property market. Both topics will be presented by Aneisha Beveridge, Research Analyst at Hamptons International, and further talks from industry experts will take a retrospective look back at the past decade and address the reasons why the market has changed so considerably.

The event will be held on 12 September with a lunchtime session at 12pm - 2pm and an evening event at 6pm – 8pm, each located on the 30th Floor of Barclay’s Global HQ in Canary Wharf. After talks from industry experts, there will also be an opportunity for personalised one-to-one advice.

The following Hamptons International departments which will be represented include:

  • Residential Sales
  • Residential Lettings & Management
  • Investment
  • Prime and Country House
  • International
  • Wealth
  • Property Finance
  • Tax
  • Private Conveyancing
  • Corporate and Relocation Services
  • Land & New Homes

We are delighted that, global furniture brand Camerich, will also be on hand to talk about interior design, dressing a property for sales/letting purposes and maximizing a property’s appeal in order to deliver a tangible return on an investment.

Lesley Cairns, Managing Director of Hamptons International says: “We look forward to welcoming attendees to this exclusive event and hope that it will prove both informative and interesting. Such a lot has changed within our industry since the financial crisis ten years ago and to mark this milestone we wish to share our own insights into the differences between then and now.”

Aneisha Beveridge, Research Analyst at Hamptons International comments on the market ten years on from the Lehman Brother collapse: “September 15th marks the 10-year anniversary of Lehmans’ collapse. The fall of the bank sparked a worldwide financial crisis and hit housing markets across the globe. Ten years on and analysis of the UK’s housing market shows a widespread recovery with London, hardest hit at the time, recording the strongest bounce back. But there are other areas of the country that have yet to recover.”
