The new team will service Asia-based clients purchasing London property
Hamptons International has today announced the launch of a new Lettings department in Hong Kong which will provide a dedicated service to Asia-based investors purchasing property in London.
The launch of the department makes Hamptons International the first large estate agency brand to have a London Lettings consultant based in Hong Kong full-time and will give the agency the opportunity to offer a one-stop shop service to Asia-based investors looking to buy in the UK.
The department, which is led by Alastair Mullens, a London Lettings market expert previously based at Hamptons International's headquarters in London, will work with current and prospective East Asian clients who own residential property in London, advising them on the London Lettings market and providing a local point of contact as well as face-to-face support as required.
The department will also support the existing sales team in Hong Kong which currently hosts regular international property exhibitions across Asia, providing clients who purchase property at a Hamptons International property exhibition with a seamless transition from sale completion to successfully letting the property in the UK.
Alastair Mullens, UK Lettings Manager, Hamptons International Hong Kong, commented on the new department: "Asia-based investors are hungry for property opportunities in London. As well as offering good capital growth, these investors are increasingly interested in the strong rental yields available from a London property investment. With more and more of our London Lettings clients based in Asia, our new Lettings department means we can communicate with them in their own time-zone and can offer them a personal, face to face service."
Lesley Cairns, Head of Lettings, Hamptons International, added: "The Lettings division of Hamptons International has grown significantly this year. While we are now the largest mid to high end agent operating in the South of the UK, we have also been looking at growth overseas.
"Hamptons International is already an established brand in the Hong Kong property market and with increasing business from Asian-based clients, there was a significant opportunity for us to be first to market with a dedicated, Hong Kong based Lettings division for our clients. Feedback from our clients has so far been extremely positive and we are looking forward to further growing this team next year."
Hamptons International's Hong Kong team runs property exhibitions across Asia every month. For more information, please visit www.hamptons-asia.com.
