Hamptons International have been appointed as the lettings agents for London’s first bespoke build to rent scheme, which boasts no hidden fees for residents and all-inclusive utility bills.

Essential Living’s Vantage Point development is designed exclusively for renters. This means the high-spec apartments will come with a choice of five bespoke designer furniture packages, 7,000 sq. ft. of residents’ lounges, business lounge, ready-to-go high speed Wi-Fi and free Zip Car membership. They’ve been built solely for rent and will not be sold off, so residents could stay as long as they like.

Leading architects and designers have created the stylish interiors and amazing views across London will make the 118 apartments some of the most sought after in town. Among the unique features are the stylish roof-terraces with BBQ and pizza oven and the split-level residents’ penthouse lounges with 360-degree views across London.

Just as important will be the customer service: an onsite residents’ team will be on-hand all day, every day. Whether customers want to drop off dry cleaning, book the penthouse for private dining or just organise a food delivery, Essential Living’s vision is to offer a level of service not presently seen into the housing market.

Vantage Point will face the new pedestrian square being created by re-routing the traffic which will no doubt become the centrepiece of the area’s exciting regeneration.

Vantage Point will launch the weekend of the 30th of July 2016 with occupation from 1st September. The iconic 17-storey landmark is located on the corner of Highgate Hill and sits immediately above Archway underground station.

This highly anticipated development will consist of 33 studios, 58 one-bedroom and 27 two-bedroom apartments.

Nick Underhill, lettings director at Essential Living, said: “We wanted to maximise awareness of this landmark for London letting by working with leading national and local lettings agents. Both firms share our vision and commitment to offering great customer service, and we’re delighted to have Hamptons and Day Morris as part of our team.”

Jon Pitt, director of build to rent at Hamptons International, said: “We’re delighted to be instructed as a lettings agent for Vantage Point. Essential Living’s vision for renting has more in common with a boutique hotel than the current buy-to-let market and we’re sure this scheme will prove popular with young professionals, couples and sharers alike.”

Steve Day, principal at Day Morris said: I’ve been privileged to work on some amazing developments in the Hampstead and Highgate areas but Vantage Point is the first rental scheme designed to put residents first. As well as some of the highest specification apartments on the market, the building comes with a view that is simply priceless.”

About Essential Living

Essential Living is a London-based developer and operator of homes for rent. Set up in 2012 and financed through long-term institutional funding, its business model involves developing 5,000 apartments for rent across London and the South East which it plans to own and manage under a single brand.

Its homes offer residents more room to live than traditional buy-to-let landlords, with shared lounges and rooftop terraces encouraging a sense of community and extending residents’ leisure space. Essential Living believes that a customer’s home begins and ends at the door of the building – not the door of the apartment.

Private workspaces and lobby areas are designed to accommodate modern live-work habits, while centrepiece penthouse decks allow all residents to entertain friends, keep fit or simply hang out.

High-spec apartments make more efficient use of space and come fully-furnished in a range of styles, giving renters more choice than ever before.  Hotel-style customer service includes an onsite residents’ team, putting an end to absent landlords. Plug-and-play Wi-Fi, inclusive utilities and curated events will transform the rental experience.

With shorter contracts, tenancies up to three years and a commitment to never charge lettings fees, Essential Living also hopes to improve trust in the rental market by being totally transparent, offering better value apartments all within five minutes of key transport links.

Essential Living’s first development, Vantage Point Archway Tower in Islington opens this September. It’s followed by schemes in Maidenhead, Bethnal Green and Greenwich with other consented projects in Swiss Cottage, Acton, Brentford, Camden and Canary Wharf.
