Situation
Stones Throw Cottage can be found just to the West of Chobham village, one of the most popular villages in Surrey. At the centre of The High Street is St Lawrence Church with its very fine Medieval tower. There is a good selection of local shops (including a small supermarket), some excellent restaurants such as The Cloche Hat, The White Heart, Indo, Eastern Oriental and Raymond Blanc’s Brassiere The Sun as well as some traditional pubs such as The Four Horseshoes and The Red Lion. More extensive shopping centres can be found in Guildford with The Friary Centre and White Lion Walk and in Woking where there is a large shopping mall with cinemas and theatre as well as a major rail station with very regular and fast links to London Waterloo in less than 30 minutes.

The village also has an excellent rugby club with a large and flourishing junior section and tennis club. There are a number of leisure centres and health clubs in the general area and Chobham golf club is just a few miles away. Anyone with an equestrian interest will be pleased to know that there are a number of stables from which you can ride out onto Chobham Common and you could even try your hand at polo with Westcroft Park Polo Club and Academy being on the edge of the village.
