Colesgrove Manor is an impressive Grade II listed period property of architectural and historic interest, originally known as Warwick House and constructed in 1629. During its early years Oliver Cromwell’s son, Richard lived at the Manor. It was extended and modernised by the Mayo family circa 1830. The land on which the manor was built was part of the manor of Andrews and inherited by the Mayo family early in the 19th century. The name manor was added to Colesgrove during the 1930’s. In the 1950’s it became the residence of Doris Leslie the well known writer of historical fiction. Discreetly set and privately gated within approximately 3.5 acres of established grounds with the benefit of a detached Lodge House.
