Set within the South Downs National Park and in the heart of the Meon Valley, the pretty village of Warnford has a local public house, active village hall, and children’s play park. There are a number of local stores in the surrounding villages for everyday needs. The property is almost equidistant to the villages of West Meon and Meonstoke (approx. 2 miles) both of which offer local stores, public houses and primary schools. More extensive facilities can be found in the nearby Cathedral city of Winchester and the attractive market town of Petersfield both of which are approximately 10 miles away and offering fast links to London Waterloo in about 1 hour. The area is also well served by private schools, notably Bedales to the east, Pilgrims and Twyford Preparatory Schools, St Swithun’s and Winchester College within the Winchester area. Road communications are good with the nearby A32 connecting to the A31 and on to the M3 and M25 and the national motorway network, and the A272 to the A3 and onto the M27 and the south coast. For leisure pursuits footpaths and bridleways abound with the South Downs Way and Old Winchester Hill being within close proximity. The area is also popular for other country sports including fishing and shooting whilst to the south The Solent provides world class sailing facilities.
