State and private education locally are excellent, with Buckinghamshire retaining its grammar school system. The village supports a well-regarded pre-school nursery. Trains to Marylebone run regularly from High Wycombe (about 8 miles) and journey times are approximately 26 minutes. Alternatively, fast trains from Reading to Paddington take approximately 30 minutes and there is also a service from Henley on Thames. Cross rail arrives in Reading during 2019. The surrounding countryside abounds with paths and bridleways for walking, cycling and riding over the Chiltern hills. The M40 is available at Stokenchurch, J5. Also the London Tube has a pick up and drop off point near Lewknor.
