Charlton House is a stunning Grade II Listed period village House with 17th Century origins with a wealth of period features including leaded lights, inglenook fireplaces with timber bressummers and chamfered ceiling beams. In recent years the house has been subject to a considerable refurbishment which has included the addition of further accommodation which has brought this fine home into the 21st century whilst not losing its

considerable period charm. The homes discreet position on the periphery of the village gives it both a high degree of privacy as well as superb un-interrupted views across the surrounding

Blackmore Vale countryside and the River Stour.

The versatile home exudes charm and character throughout, perfectly suited to family life. The attractive accommodation includes a wonderful drawing room with original fireplace, recently added bright and spacious living room, elegant

formal dining room with access to the rear gardens and a open fireplace and a modern kitchen/breakfast room with doors leading to a private breakfast terrace. On the first floor, the glorious master suite is a particular room of note. This recently added suite boasts a stunning vaulted ceiling along with exposed original brickwork and beams with superb modern en-suite bathroom. The first floor accommodation then offers three further sizeable bedrooms with many original period features serviced by a modern re-fitted family bathroom. Outside, the majority of the gardens are behind the house, with manicured lawns and colourful established shrub borders. The

gardens are a particularly important part of the enjoyment of the house, and have been carefully designed into ‘garden rooms’ to take advantage of the various seasons, with terraces for al-fresco entertaining, a heated swimming pool, hidden behind mature hedges and a wildlife area bordering onto meadows.

and Girls.
