To the right of the entrance hall is the sitting room with a Bath stone fireplace, wood burning stove and fabulous views across Otmoor. Continuing anticlockwise along the hall are stairs to the first floor with a very useful cupboard below, and a cloakroom. At the back of the house with attractive views over the large garden, is the fabulous open plan kitchen, dining and family room, with an attractive garden room off the back. The kitchen is comprehensively fitted with wall and base units and comes with an electric Aga, ‘American’ style fridge and freezer, fitted dishwasher, induction hob, double oven and warming drawer. The dining and family room has a bay window to the side and bi folding doors linking it to the garden room, that has doors out to the garden and a lantern roof window. Off the kitchen is the utility room, which has a door out to the garden, perfect for muddy boots and paws. Continuing round the hall are a study with a bespoke cherry wood fitted desk, and finally there is the integral garage with the oil fired boiler.
Upstairs there are four double bedrooms, three with fitted wardrobes. Both the master and guest bedroom have en suite shower rooms with under floor heating, as does the family bathroom. The master bedroom also has hand built bespoke, fitted wardrobes along with a walk in wardrobe. The loft space is boarded with roof lights, and has been constructed with the possibility of converting into further accommodation subject to gaining the relevant permissions and consents.
The village of Beckley occupies high ground on the southern edge of Otmoor, being about 6 miles from the centre of Oxford and only some 5.5 miles from access to the M40 (junction 8). Church Street leads out on to Otmoor over which country walks can be enjoyed. Otmoor itself is an area of inland marsh, a substantial part of which is now an RSPB wetlands nature reserve. In the village there is an excellent Primary School together with the Abingdon Arms Public House/Restaurant and super fast fibre optic broadband has recently been installed. The village has a good local community, with an attractive Medieval Church, a well regarded Public House owned by the village residents and a good sports field with tennis court and village hall.
Outside the front garden has a gravelled driveway providing ample parking, along with lawn and flower and shrub beds. The rear garden is predominately laid to lawn with mature trees, flower and shrub beds, boules pitch and a garden shed at the far end, complete with power from the house with an armoured cable.
