An extended three bedroom Victorian cottage located on the edge of the village, backing onto farmland and offering deceptively spacious and flexible accommodation. Four separate reception rooms, parking and pretty gardens.
Constructed of stone beneath a tiled roof, the cottage combines all the conveniences of modern living with character features. A spacious entrance gives access to a sitting room and family room each with open fireplaces and each giving access to an L-shaped sun room. This room overlooks the gardens and farmland and provides a year round entertaining space with dining and sitting areas. A separate study/fourth bedroom, utility room and shower room provide scope for an annexe. The kitchen is well fitted with base and eye levels units, built in appliances and stairs to the first floor where there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Hanwell is a pretty iron stone village situated just north of Banbury off the B4100. There is a fine Church which looks down on Hanwell Castle which dates from the 15th century. Within the village there is a public house/restaurant and village hall. Primary schooling is available at the neighbouring village of Hornton with secondary schooling available at Bloxham. From the nearby market town of Banbury there is a mainline railway station to London Marylebone (under the hour) and Jct 11 of the M40.
Set back from the village road behind stone walling, the property has a gravelled driveway with parking for two to three vehicles and leads to the main entrance. A gate provides pedestrian access to the gardens.
Enclosed by fencing, the gardens are principally laid to lawn and complemented by well stocked flowering borders and mature trees. At the bottom of the garden there is wooden summerhouse and large timber storage shed.
