The village comprises predominately ironstone properties with the nearby village of Sibford offering a village shop and post office, primary school and a private secondary school as well as a doctors surgery. Further primary schools are located in the villages of North Newington and Bloxham which also offers secondary and private schooling. Other nearby private schools include Warwick, Tudor Hall and the Stratford Grammar school.
