Eastwood Cottage enjoys a charming position nestled in the hillside above the Horsley Valley. It offers surprisingly generous and flexible accommodation and is beautifully finished throughout. The original period house has seen an exceptional and well integrated extension and features a host of period charm. It is the views and orientation that really make this house and the accommodation. This has been arranged so that all the principle rooms enjoy the view over the woods, valley & lake, as well as having numerous external seating areas from which to enjoy this vista. The entrance porch leads into the sitting room which enjoys a Parquet floor and an exposed Cotswold stone fireplace with a wood-burning stove inset and from here into the study/snug. The adjacent dining room offers a more intimate feel with another exposed Cotswold stone and a feature fireplace. The spectacular light & airy kitchen/breakfast room takes centre stage in the house and flows seamlessly onto the front patio. The kitchen is fitted with a Rangemaster cooker, china sink, wine chiller and a range of units centred around the generous kitchen island, all with solid oak worktops. Incredible atmosphere is brought to this room by the vaulted ‘A frame’ oak ceiling which is open to the roof on the adjacent breakfast area, which has ample space for more informal dining. The kitchen also leads through to a useful fitted utility, and on to a downstairs WC and store room. On the first floor you will find the spacious master bedroom with walk-in wardrobe along with a beautiful refitted shower room and a refitted bathroom, with roll-top bath. The landing area provides a wealth of storage. Two further bedrooms can be located on the second floor, enjoying exposed beams and spectacular views across the valley & gardens. STR190208.
