The parish includes two public houses (the Four Points and the Bell Inn) and St. Mary's church which is the resting place of the renowned Aldworth Giants, dating from the 13th Century. There is also a village hall with adjoining cricket field. Aldworth lies approximately 3 miles from picturesque Streatley and Goring-on-Thames, with the latter offering a good range of shops and amenities as well as a mainline station to Reading and London Paddington. More local grocery shopping is available at the local farm shops which sell fresh produce. Both Newbury and Reading are both about 10 miles away with extensive shopping and recreational facilities. Aldworth sits in the catchments for Downs School (secondary) and Compton School (primary) as well as having an excellent selection of private schooling in the area.
To the front of the cottage is a pretty front garden with picket fence and some mature hedging.
