Located in one of Sunningdale's prime locations and away from the main road, is a unique “Grand Designs” style house, in a secluded but connected position and offering contemporary living space over two floors.
Cedarwood was built in 2013 and has recently been the subject of newly updated interior, providing a most calming ambience. Notable areas of the house is the open plan reception and fitted kitchen, which provides a wall of glass which can be opened via the bifold glass across its whole width, so connecting the interior accommodation with the outside. This room is flooded with light from the vaulted ceiling and additional electric Velux windows.
To the first floor is a generous bedroom with en suite dressing room and bathroom, connected by an enclosed staircase, whilst the remaining bedroom accommodation is to the ground floor, with another lovely, double aspect bedroom suite and dressing room. This has further bifold doors leading to a covered porch and to the garden beyond, again.
We thoroughly recommend this property for its location and southerly aspect, its peaceful setting within private enclosed gardens and the flexible layout of the house, to accommodate ones needs.
Cedarwood can be found on the Eastern fringe of this very desirable Berkshire village, about three quarters of a mile walking distance via footpath from Sunningdale station (direct line to Waterloo) and Waitrose supermarket. Fego’s Coffee shop,
Lewis Butchers, the newsagent with Post Office, the Table Spoon restaurant and others are even closer and help to make this a super environment and community in which to live. More extensive
shopping facilities can be found in the Royal town of Windsor about 8 miles to the North or Camberley about 9 miles to the East.
Whilst surrounded by beautiful countryside, Sunningdale residents still benefit from excellent road links with Junction 3 of the M3 being less than 5 miles away and Junction 13 of the M25 about 5.5 miles. Terminal 5 at Heathrow is about 8.5 miles
and Knightsbridge about 25 miles.
Leisure facilities are very well catered for in the general area. The West Course of Wentworth Golf Club can be accessed via a footpath at the end of the road just a few hundred yards away.
Sunningdale, Sunningdale Ladies, Swinley Forest, The Berkshire, Foxhills and Queenwood all offer golfing opportunities. The social calendar also includes horse racing at Royal Ascot and of course
Henley Royal Regatta. As well as several health and tennis clubs there a two of the countries most favoured spa hotels at Coworth Park and Pennyhill, polo at The Guards Club and miles of stunning
country walks in Windsor Great Park and on Chobham Common.
Schooling can also be a high priority for many buyers and this area has some of the most recognised private schools in the country including St Georges in Ascot, St Marys, Sunningdale, Papplewick, Hall Grove, Coworth Flexlands and the ACS in Egham.
The gardens very much compliment this most individual of properties and provides a most tranquil setting.
There are two driveways to the property, approached via two separate electric gates, which provide parking for a number of cars, beyond which is a paved terrace with secret pathways meandering through lawns and a wonderful herbaceous borders, with its different textures and subtle colouring. One such path leads to a timber framed studio with power and light, ideal for a variety of uses and providing a back view of the house, unique in its character and design.
This is the first garden I have been in that has provided a feeling of well-being and joy.
