About this branch

The Area

Brighton is a year-round coastal town nestled between the South Downs and the ever-popular seafront. Home to two large universities, there is a thriving cultural and arts scene, numerous public parks, an abundance of listed buildings, nightclubs, art galleries and theatres. Also, Brighton has the highest concentration of restaurants per head than anywhere else in the UK outside London. Some famous people have been born here too, Rudyard Kipling, Sir Richard Attenborough, Norman Cook (aka 'Fatboy Slim') and Simon Cowell all hail from Brighton.

Brighton and Hove have always been popular with commuters. There are frequent train services operating links to Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Gatwick, Portsmouth, Southampton, Eastbourne and Ashford. London Victoria is around an hour by train from Brighton and Gatwick approximately half an hour.

From iconic tourist attractions to beach-front cool, there are lots of places to go and things to do. The vibrant cultural scene dominates with many must see sights, including the Brighton Pavilion, the Pier, Brighton Museum and Art Gallery, the newly refurbished Sealife centre and the new British Airways i360. Brighton & Hove can also be described as a city of festivals. From the biggest arts Festival in England, to comedy, food, music, film and artists' open houses, somewhere in the city is always in full festival swing.

A number of annual events attract both locals and visitors from far and wide including the Brighton and Hove Food Festival, Brighton Pride, Brighton marathon, London to Brighton Bike ride, The Great Escape festival and the finale of the year is the wonderful Burning the clocks, a unique community event.

Sport plays a huge part in the lives of many residents with sailing, kite surfing, kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding as well as classic beach sports such as volleyball all within easy access. Golf, horse racing and mountain biking are also popular and located close by.

We have helped clients from all over the world find themselves their dream home in Brighton and Hove, whether this is Londoners relocating their families for the great schools on offer or people looking for a second home to escape to for the weekend.
