About this branch

"Nestling at the foot of the North Downs and surrounded by glorious countryside, Sevenoaks is a historic, thriving and sophisticated town, nationally renowned for its choice of excellent schooling and within thirty minutes train journey of the City of London”

The area of Sevenoaks is a thriving former market town sitting amidst glorious Wealden countryside at the foot of the North Downs. Famous for Knole House and its deer park, the town was founded in the thirteenth century with the name deriving from a Saxon word meaning a small chapel by seven oak trees, originally in Knole Park.

With its excellent and charming selection of restaurants, cafes and shops, the area has always been popular with families and residents who have relocated out from London in order to sample a fine quality of life.

Attracted by internationally renowned schools such as Sevenoaks and Tonbridge School, as well as the nationally envied grammar school system, there is much to commend this locality. So much so, that it is often listed as one of the most affluent and desirable areas to live in the UK.

Sevenoaks has superb transport links into the City of London, the Eurostar terminals and ferry ports with the motorway network providing access to London’s principal airports.

For commuters, Sevenoaks Railway Station has fast, direct services to London Bridge, Cannon Street and Charing Cross stations with journey times of approximately thirty minutes. An area of outstanding natural beauty, there are charming villages to explore, historic houses to discover and many sporting venues to sample.
