About this branch

Branch History

The branch is brand new having been a popular Italian restaurant previously. It has a broad, double-fronted façade and is ideally placed across from the train station guaranteeing plenty of passing foot traffic. Hamptons is new to the area but is well surrounded by neighbouring offices in Putney, Wimbledon, Battersea, Balham, Clapham and Fulham.

Getting here

We are located at 350-352 Garratt Lane (A217) just across from the train station. If coming by car the nearest parking is round the corner on Thornsett or Groton Road (pay and display). By Train Earlsfield is served by Southwest Trains and is one stop from Clapham Junction, the station is 150 feet from the office on the other side of the road.

Parking

Most of the streets in Earlsfield and Southfields are subject to residents parking but you are also able to pay and display. There are a couple of streets behind the office which get full quite quickly but parking can be found in plenty of surrounding streets.

The Area

Earlsfield and Southfields both used to be arable fields (hence their names) and many of the street names refer back to the lanes between the fields. Both areas started to grow with the arrival of the railway line and train stations. The streets are primarily picturesque Victorian terraces but there are also some slightly larger Edwardian terraces.

In more recent years Earlsfield has changed hugely, having been favoured by South Africans for years, there has been a steady flow of people moving in to the area from Fulham, Battersea and Wimbledon, both young professionals looking to buy their first home and young families looking for good primary schools as well as a sensibly priced house.

Wandsworth as a whole has been subject to a huge amount of renovation with the Southside Centre being subject to a multimillion-pound refurbishment, there is the largest city centre Sainsburys and the old Ram Brewery site is currently being developed with residential and commercial properties, a pedestrianised area and the opening up of the river Wandle.

Earlsfield sits one stop away from Clapham Junction meaning you can get to London Waterloo and onwards into the city in 28 minutes as well as many other destinations, Southfields also sits on the District line 6 stops from Earls Court Underground Station.

Property Available

The area has a good mix of houses as well apartments catering for every type of buyer, from the first-time buyer, parents buying for children, buy to let investors and house buyers.
