The East Sheen and Barnes office is the furthest London office in the Southwest of the Capital and has been open since February 2007.
We are opposite the famous ‘Milestone’ in East Sheen stating our distance from Central London which has stood there since 1751. Our office is on the Station side of the Upper Richmond Road West and the local BR railway station, is in fact, Mortlake Station with trains to Richmond, Clapham Junction and Waterloo. We have an abundance of TFL buses running along the Upper Richmond Road West, also to Richmond, Barnes, Putney and Hammersmith. Cycling is very popular in the area because of Richmond Park, as well as being an easy way to get around so we have our own Hamptons’ branded bike.
Restricted parking around the BR Station is only from 9 am to 11 am during the week. However, there is unrestricted parking on Parkside and roads further away from the Station.
East Sheen is now a London hotspot. It was once “one of the best-kept secrets of the London Borough of Richmond,” before the cycling in the London Olympics put Richmond Park (of which East Sheen has the largest proportion of the Park), firmly on the map. With the proximity to Richmond Park and the river Thames and with easy access into central London via the overground station at Mortlake (23 minutes), East Sheen and Mortlake offer plenty of sporting and leisure opportunities. The area is predominantly period family houses and is therefore spoilt with Outstanding Schools both private and state, secondary and primary.
The tree-lined streets, community experience and the quality of life, make East Sheen and Mortlake an incredibly desirable area to live.
There are many excellent schools in the general vicinity including St. Paul's, Tower House, Ibstock Place, The German and Swedish Schools, Colet Court and numerous first-rate State Primary and Secondary Schools, such as Thomson House, Holy Trinity and Sheen Mount, to name a few.
