About this branch

The Area

The City of London - also known as "the Square Mile" - is widely regarded as one of the most desirable locations to live in the UK. What could be better than living right in the middle of Europe's largest city? It's a real hotspot for business, and it's an area that offers an extremely high concentration of employment.

There are simply too many landmarks in the City of London to list - perhaps the most famous being St Pauls Cathedral, an imposing, breath-taking building that has been dominating the London skyline for nearly 400 years. Other landmarks include the Museum of London and the Royal Exchange.

The City of London is particularly famous for the opulent skyscrapers that can be found there - including the Stock Exchange Tower, Heron Tower and Tower 42. People often refer to the City of London as like being a city within a city, such is the vastness of the Greater London area. That said, you'll still find everything you'd expect to see in a city right there in the City of London - including five libraries!

The square mile is well catered for in terms of transport with multiple buses operating different routes all day, every day. There are also multiple underground stations nearby.

The City of London is an exciting place to live. Whilst 300,000 people work there, only a paltry 7,000 people live there. Will you be joining them?
