Battersea and Wandsworth can be found perched on the south bank of the River Thames. Battersea is a well-known part of London, partly thanks to the wonderful - if not a little spooky - Battersea Power Station. The area also plays host to the world-famous New Covent Garden Market where millions of pounds worth of fruit and vegetables change hands every single week. It's one of the UK's largest fruit and veg wholesale markets.
Battersea Dogs Home also plays a part in the area's prominence on the London map as well as Battersea Park with its Peace Pagoda and zoo.
As you'd expect with an area so close to central London, Battersea and Wandsworth benefit from fantastic transport links into the City of London. There's plenty of choices when it comes to buses and tubes trains – no matter where you need to be in London, getting from A to B is easy in Battersea and Wandsworth. Clapham Junction is at the centre of Battersea – it's beating heart, it's where a lot of train services connect and terminate.
There is a lot to see and do in and around the Battersea area; there's also an abundance of property on offer – from small apartments and flats to larger homes perfectly suited to families.
