A guide to...West London

West London has long been a popular choice for both individuals and families looking for the perfect spot to enjoy life in the capital. With excellent transport links to central London, plenty of parks, open spaces and access to riverside walks and an abundance of nightlife hotspots, desirable schools and gorgeous properties, its no wonder they say ‘West is Best’. We’ve picked out a few of our favourite West London areas to help you on your property journey.

Notting Hill

Having been immortalised in Richard Curtis’ classic 90s film of the same name, Notting Hill has long been a hub of creativity and culture. With a seemingly endless list of popular bars and restaurants, Notting Hill is home to a slew of boutiques and shops that make it a verified shopping mecca. From the famous Portobello Market to the annual Notting Hill Carnival – to its iconic stucco architecture and proximity to central London, just a few stops away on the Central Line, Notting Hill is unsurprisingly one of the most popular areas of London, for both locals and tourists alike.

White City

White City is currently going through an £8 billion regeneration with over 1,500 new homes – including the impressive White City Living – and the redevelopment of the BBC Television Centre. It is positioned close to several stations that can get you to Central London in minutes (White City, Wood Lane and Shepherd’s Bush). With Westfield there is plenty of shopping and socialising opportunities, but for those seeking something more independent, there are also plenty of options, including the much adored Shepherd’s Bush Market. It’s no wonder that everyone is falling for White City.

Chiswick, Ealing and Acton

If you are searching for a village feel within easy access to central London, this corner of the capital might be just what you’ve been looking for. Further west from Hammersmith, this area is characterized by its quintessential village-feel high streets and wide pavements teaming with artisan coffee shops and independent boutiques as well as go-to regulars. If you crave reconnecting with nature, this area offers ample access to green spaces. Travel into the city could not be easier for these three West London hotspots, with all three offering quick access to central London.
