Williamscot is a hamlet situated to the north of Banbury just off the A361. The village is principally made up of one road running through towards Cropredy, with stone properties on either side. Although the village offers no formal facilities, the neighbouring villages of Cropredy and Wardington offer village churches, public houses and schooling.

More comprehensive facilities can be found in Banbury to include the Castle Quay Shopping Centre and the Spiceball Park leisure centre. There is also a mainline railway station providing access to London. The M40 via junction 11 provides access to London and the north.
