Leading residential agent, Hamptons International, was delighted to be exhibiting at the inaugural Country Life Fair in association with Boodles last weekend (27 & 28 September). The event was held at Fulham Palace in South West London. HRH Prince Michael of Kent GCVO was the Royal Patron of the event, which marked a celebration of all that the countryside has to offer.
Across both days, the Hamptons International stand had full representation from all divisions within the business. Members of the Sales, Lettings, RDI (Residential Development & Investment), Country House and International teams, together with the property services division, welcomed visitors to the stand. Guests were greeted with prosecco and cupcakes, while children were given doodle flags. Hamptons International branded jute goodie bags containing a specially commissioned property brochure, London to Country, and the latest Market Insight from the Research team were handed out. Guests were also invited to take part in ‘guess the price of the property’ competition in an effort to win a traditional Fortnum & Mason hamper.
Inspired by Country Life magazine, the fair had something for all country-minded Londoners, from country pursuits to gardening, speciality foods to artisan drinks, art and antiques to property. The fair offered an unrivalled shopping experience, with over 250 exhibitors from luxury heritage brands to artisans, as well as expert cookery and gardening demonstrations by such names as Alex James, Tom Parker Bowles and Dick Strawbridge; ‘Tweed to Town’ fashion shows; the Ginkhana™ gin-sampling experience; a mini farm and displays of falconry and working dog skills in the show ring. Visitors, who included Ben Fogle, the Fair's President, praised the event's friendly and relaxed atmosphere and high-quality exhibitors.
John Denney, Country House Director at Hamptons International comments: “We were thrilled to be part of the first Country Life Fair, where departments from across the business played host to visitors of all ages. Across two glorious days, representatives from Hamptons International were on hand to assist with all types of property enquiries. We were delighted to have seen such a great turnout from existing clients, to new faces.”
Alec Mumford, Director of The Country Life Fair said: “We are delighted with how the inaugural Country Life Fair has gone. Everything ran smoothly and of course we were blessed with glorious weather. This is a unique event and we are happy that visitors and exhibitors alike have embraced our concept of bringing the countryside to town – in fact, many have said they are keen to be involved next year.”
