Hamptons Bath was proud to sponsor a presentation by Mary Berry CBE, the British food writer and TV personality at the Bath Pageant of Motoring at Bath Racecourse, Lansdown on Saturday 23 June 2012.
Mary Berry addressed a room full of fans and cooking enthusiasts about her strong lifelong connection with the city of Bath, her fascinating career and recent projects such as the BBC's Great British Bake Off and Desert Island Discs. After the presentation Mary answered questions and greeted the audience whilst signing books. All proceeds from the day were donated to a number of Bath Rotary club backed charities including BiMe; (The Bath Institute of Medical Engineering) who manufacture the Wizzy Bug, a fun powered vehicle for disabled children to experience early years mobility.
Rupert Lawson Johnston, Manager of the Bath Office at Hamptons
"We were thrilled to have the opportunity to sponsor Mary Berry. Mary and her family have been previous clients and remain good friends of Hamptons International. We are extremely grateful to Mary who thoroughly entertained the crowd with stories of her life, career and recent amusing experiences working with celebrities such as Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc on "The Great British Bake Off" and James Martin on "Saturday Kitchen".
The successful sponsorship of 'An Afternoon with Mary Berry' comes at a time when Hamptons International has announced a partnership with AGA to offer exclusive mutual benefits to AGA and Hamptons International's clients. Mary Berry has worked with AGA for 16 years, running AGA workshops and writing AGA cookbooks.
Mary Berry, CBE, added:
"Hamptons Bath did a great job selling my mother's home and it was a pleasure to work with Hamptons again and to present in my home city of Bath. Bath is where I grew up, where my friends and family live, and where my father, a surveyor, later became the Lord Mayor.
"I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and furthermore it is fantastic news to learn of the collaboration between Hamptons International and Aga and I look forward to working more closely with them in the near future."
