Hamptons International heralds its 12th year of sponsorship of The Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park a resounding success
Leading residential agent, Hamptons International was delighted to sponsor the Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park last weekend (7-9 August 2015) in what marks its 12th year of supporting this special equestrian event.
The weekend commenced with a VIP lunch hosted by Hamptons International on the Friday. Guests were welcomed by Peter Phillips, who provided a fascinating insight into the background of the Festival, changes for 2015 and an overview of the cross country course designed by his father, Captain Mark Phillips.
At lunch, guests were invited to take part in a Q&A session with one of Britain’s leading event riders, Harry Meade. In addition to talking through his career highs and lows of the past year, Harry shed light on his top tips for finding the right equestrian property.
Following lunch Harry led guests around the cross country course talking them through the skill and technique required to master championship jumps and fences.
A hospitality stand manned by experts from Hamptons International’s dedicated equestrian department was at the event throughout the weekend. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about owning an equestrian property and see some of the best examples currently on the market. While for younger visitors there was face painting and colouring activities to take part in.
The estate agency also ran a competition over the weekend in aid of their corporate charity, Cancer Research UK, which offered the chance to win a day accompanying Harry Meade and his team at an event.
Andrew Marshall, Senior Regional Sales Director at Hamptons International comments: “The Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park is always a highly anticipated date in the Hamptons International calendar and we were thrilled to support the event once again in 2015. We were delighted to entertain our existing clients as well as meet new faces and welcome members of equestrian communities from both near and far.”
