Park House is situated in a rural position about 5.5 miles to the East of Haslemere, and under 2 miles to the village of Chiddingfold in West Sussex. Chiddingfold was once voted by the Sunday Times as one of the best villages in the UK.
The property lies adjacent to the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just outside the South Downs National Park.
The main line railway station at Haslemere provides a frequent service to London, with journey times to London Waterloo from around 52 minutes. Within easy reach are Guildford and Chichester, with first class shopping, restaurants and theatres. There is an excellent selection of schools in the area, both public and private, including Aldro, Charterhouse, Prior's Field, Barrow Hills, Cranleigh, The Heights, St Dominic's and King Edwards. Recreational activities within reach include golf at a number of local clubs, polo at Midhurst, racing and flying at Goodwood; and sailing at Chichester Harbour; while the surrounding countryside offers ample scope for walking and riding, as well as hunting with the Chiddingfold Farmers Hunt.
The land at Park House is sufficiently open and level for a helicopter to land. Alternatively it could be turned into a polo pitch, if required.
To the south, east and west of the house lie the formal gardens designed by the well known landscape architect Fiona Lawrenson, these extend to approximately 1.5 acres with wonderful views. The gardens extend into pasture beyond, which gives the landscape a parkland feel. There is also post and rail paddocks, ponds and areas of woodland.
To the north of the house lies the walled garden, with tennis court, the ménage and the equestrian facilities, this area is divided by a gravel walkway flanked by trees.
