You enter into the reception hall that has a cloakroom; ahead of you is the kitchen and breakfast room with a conservatory off it and a comprehensive range of units including an island. To your left is the sitting room and a further reception room off it, which is currently used as a gym. Off the back of the sitting room is the dining room which also links back into the kitchen, and again has a 2nd conservatory off it. To your left off the hall are a study and utility room, which leads onto a further very useful reception room with a staircase to a first floor bedroom that has a door to one of the bedrooms, and could make a small annexe.
Upstairs a galleried landing looks down into the reception hall and there are five double bedrooms and a good size single bedroom, along with a family bathroom. The indulgent master bedroom has an en suite bathroom and separate dressing room; there is a further en suite bedroom and all bar one of the bedrooms have built in wardrobes.
The property is located within a mile of the town centre shops and local amenities. The historic town of Abingdon on Thames boasts a wide range of shops and amenities including both ‘Waitrose’ and ‘Tesco’ supermarkets. Sports and recreation are also well catered for, with many sporting clubs and associations in the town, as well with the purpose built White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre, Tilsley Park and the Southern Town Park, providing a range of facilities.
Communication links are excellent with frequent bus services into Oxford. The A34 leads to Oxford and both the M4 and M40 motorways, and onto the nation motorway network. Radley station has a commuter service into Oxford and Didcot, which has a fast train service into London Paddington in approximately 45 minutes.
Schooling in the area is excellent with Abingdon prep, The Manor prep, Abingdon School, St Helen and St Katherine, Radley College and Our Lady’s Abingdon as well as the many highly regarded independent schools in Oxford.
Outside the gated front garden offers ample parking and there is an additional detached double garage with further parking in front and a separate office. Behind is a patio leading down to the lawn.
