This is one of our Country Houses
EQUESTRIAN - Northolme is nestled in the desirable village of Hazelton set amongst some of Gloucestershire’s most beautiful countryside. The house occupies a generous plot of some 4.1 acres and the house itself is well positioned at the head of the driveway offering a good degree of privacy and delightful views towards the heart of the village and church.
There have been sympathetic extensions and changes over the years creating flexible accommodation as well as an independently accessed one bedroom annexe. Large windows allow plenty of natural light into the house and it is beautifully presented throughout. Neutral décor and a good quality finish give the house a relaxed feel and flow. The main entrance hall is a generous and welcoming space giving vision straight through the dining room to the landscaped rear gardens, paddock and views beyond.
The drawing room has a substantial centrepiece stone fireplace and opens onto a conservatory making the most of the views beyond. A hidden door leads to the discrete study, a wonderful dual aspect room and a great hideaway. The dining room is a superb place for gatherings and for more informal family time the kitchen/breakfast room is fully integrated with space for a dining table and chairs. This room is further supported by a boot room, utility room with sink, cloakroom and central heating boiler.
There is both internal and independent external access into the annexe. The current owners have not separated it formally and use it for additional family and guest accommodation. There is a fully independent kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and could therefore make an excellent letting opportunity if required.
This property is featured by our Equestrian department.
The house occupies a tranquil position on the edge of the village and enjoys a rural outlook. This and the neighbouring property occupy similar size plots at just over 4 acres which fall within the recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is a short drive into Cheltenham from the village giving access to all the amenities the town has to offer and is equally serviced by the bustling market town of Cirencester with twice weekly farmers markets.
The house is beholden to its superb grounds and position within the village. It has a very attractive and generous front garden, a sweeping drive leading to ample parking as well as independent vehicular access from the village road leading to the hard standing area near to the stable yard.
Surrounding the house are the more formal grounds which are mainly laid to lawn with well stocked herbaceous beds and a variety of mature and tall standing trees on the boundary.
A beech hedge separates the formal grounds from the rear paddock with gated access through. Largely open and laid to grass it is perfect for animals and a wildlife haven. A copse borders the paddock along the village lane running up towards the secondary drive and the stable yard. The stable yard comprises two wooden structures providing stabling for up to four horses as well as a larger barn with double doors for storing garden equipment or a feed store/tack room if needed. Behind this is a substantial wood store.
There is also another level area which could be used as a small paddock and a hidden garden with feature pond, vegetable beds, green house and garden shed.
