You enter into the impressive reception hall with a central free standing sweeping staircase in front of you splaying out to a galleried landing. To your left double doors lead into the dining room with French doors out to the side patio. Off the dining room are double doors into the triple aspect sitting room at the front of the house, whilst at the rear is the large kitchen and breakfast room with French doors and sidelights out to the back garden. Following the hallway round there is a utility room, cloakroom, study with a door out to the garden and completing the ground floor is the family room.
Upstairs are five double bedrooms and the galleried landing. Appleford has a railway station on the Cherwell Valley Line with direct rail services to London Paddington in approximately 60 minutes and is also approximately two miles from the town of Didcot with its many amenities and shops including the new Orchard Centre, mainline rail station with direct fast train services to London Paddington in approximately 45 minutes and access onto the A34, the M4 and the M40.
The neighbouring village of Sutton Courtenay has local shops and a post office, and there is a far wider choice of shops, sporting clubs, facilities and amenities including a Waitrose supermarket, in Abingdon on Thames that is only approximately 3.5 miles away.
There are primary schools in Sutton Courtenay and Long Wittenham as well as preparatory schools such as The Manor, Abingdon prep, Chandlings, Our Lady’s, Cothill and Moulsford nearby. The village is also ideally located for the world-renowned schools in and around Abingdon and Oxford, which have a school bus that stops in the village, including Abingdon School, the Dragon, St Edwards, Summer Fields, Oxford High, The Europa School, St Helen & St Katherine, Our Lady’s and Radley College.
Outside the property is approached along a quiet private drive, over which the owners have a right of way. The properties’ gated gravel driveway allows for ample parking, and there is a triple garage with the potential of further accommodation above.
