Why move to Guildford?
A growing university, a dynamic Research Park and tech hub and a relatively stable population makes for a cosmopolitan area with a wide demographic.
Guildford has grown in popularity, with those looking to live a commutable distance from London whilst being surrounded by green open spaces and the Surrey Hills for weekend walks and bike rides.
Shopping and Amenities
Guildford caters well to the family market with an abundance of larger properties for sale and let.
From essentials such as opticians, pharmacists, post office and supermarkets (Sainsburys, Waitrose and M&S).
Going Out
Guildford Cathedral which is located near the University of Surrey also has a lot to offer visitors, with guided tours and a cafeteria.
Green Space
If you’re in need of open space, there are some great parks on offer including Stoke Park which is a large area of Parkland on the edge of the town which was donated by the Lord Onslow in 1925 with the express wish that “it remains the lung of the town”. There is also a Wild Wood Adventure located in the park which is great for families as it offers treetop rope courses and zip lines for children and adults. There is also the impressive Newlands Park which is located to the East of Guildford and is a 103 hectare nature reserve and offers stunning views and incredible walks for all of the family to enjoy. There are also pretty country walks nearby at Pewley Downs and along the River Wey.
